The hotel is perfectly situated between two arms of the fjord, offering stunning views of the deeply wooded and flowered hillsides reaching down to the water. We loved the Victorian beauty and sense of history in the hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The food at the restaurant was superb, with an extensive buffet and delicious options. We especially enjoyed sitting by the water, sipping tea, reading books, and listening to the piano player.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The stunning waterfront location provided beautiful views of the fjords and local area. The hotel itself was like stepping back in time, with its historic and iconic building. The public rooms were gorgeous and filled with fascinating art collections. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Additionally, the hotel was conveniently located right across the street from the central bus station, making transportation easy. this hotel provided a unique and memorable experience.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The room we stayed in was located in the newer part of the hotel, but it still provided us with breathtaking views of the fjord and Balestrand. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, complete with a balcony. The staff were all incredibly helpful and pleasant, making our experience even more enjoyable. The location of the hotel was also fantastic, with the beautiful mountains as a backdrop and the fjord waters just a stone's throw away. The hotel facilities were great, with comfortable sitting areas both indoors and outdoors, perfect for admiring the stunning views. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and we were really impressed with the service provided by the staff.
